Suspension tuning

Postby aceofspades9963 » Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:18 pm

Ok so I have a few questions that i can't seem to find online. I have a crf250 and I'm pretty sure my suspension is set up incorrectly. I've been trying to clear the step up (120ft) and just can't clear it in 4th to the bar the entire way to the lip of the jump . i know a 250 can do it i've seen people do it. My friend clears it on his yzf450 at a slower speed than me because I followed him and was gaining on him and he still cleared it and i was 5- 10 ft short. So the only thing I can see is that I'm not getting enough preload off the jump because the suspension is to soft. could this be the case. if anyone knows anything about stuff like this some advice would be appreciated

Thanks

Ace

Here's a link http://www.motocrossactionmag.com/ME2/A ... 216F4F3861

MXA is a good source for a place to start. I'd start with their recommendation then make small adjustments.
